Why simplicity feels expensive

Why simplicity is hard? Creating this kind of interior is harder than it looks. Because simplicity is not about having less things. It’s about making the right choices. It’s the moment when you look at a space and ask yourself honestly: do I really need this - or is it just filling the space?

Adding is easy. It gives a quick feeling that everything is done. But stopping - that’s where it becomes real.

It’s about knowing what to keep. Not just what looks good, but what feels right. Not adding another vase “just for decoration if it doesn’t change anything.

Not filling the walls if the empty space already feels complete.  Not choosing something just because it’s trendy if it doesn’t feel like you.

And choosing pieces that will stay with you. That won’t feel outdated in a few months. That will still feel right years later. At that point, it’s not just about design anymore. It’s about how you live.

It’s about taste. But taste is not something you’re born with. It comes from experience. From observation. From making mistakes and learning what really works. And maybe the most important part - it’s about confidence. When you don’t feel the need to fill every corner to make the space look “better”. When you can leave space. And know that it’s enough.
